In recent studies, it has been observed that the use of mobile phones in washrooms has increased. We will know if this has some ill effects on health or not?
Dr.Partha Nandi( creator and host of Emmy award-winning show gastro-centric) told that usually when we go to the toilet, we spend there much more time than the usual required one. Due to this, we put our rectum under overpressure for a prolonged time for no reason. This is the reason for many gastro problems. Dr Nandi also mentioned that we often sit in awkward positions while excreting for a long time (being busy in phones) which harms nerves of hip and anal areas.
On average , people spend 10-40 minutes of time in the washroom while the actual requirement is only around 5 minutes. This is the issue of concern, we feel as we are multitasking and that is a normal thing but it is actually harmful. We are more prone to microbes as we spend a long time in the toilet, this may actually welcome pathogenic (disease-causing) microbes.
Therefore, it is recommended to avoid the use of mobile phones while being in the toilet . this not only avoids health issues but also saves your time.
