COVID-19 was declared a pandemic last year by WHO. The whole world was shaken and had to go through
severe outcomes. Lockdown and Quarantine became the unwanted partner of everyone's life. It hit the whole
world economically, financially and mentally.
We were recovering from the impacts of this devastating pandemic but before we could achieve that, it hit us
again even harder, in the name of the Second COVID Wave.
The second wave of COVID is all around us with a more hazardous impact on our lives.

Symptoms of COVID second variant.

Most symptoms of Covid remain the same in the second wave including fever, chills, body ache, loss of smell
and taste, and loss of breath or respiratory complications.
The new symptoms that are common among patients in the second wave including pink eyes, loose motions and
hearing impairment, which is a totally new sign detected in the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Also, younger people are more vulnerable to Covid second wave.

Boost Immunity against COVID

During this who scenario around us, it is very important to boost Immunity to remain fit and fight against
covid.
There are many things that we can do to improve our Immunity;
1. Having a healthy balanced Diet
Eating a balanced diet helps us to grow and build our body to remain fit and fight the viruses around us.
A balanced diet includes protein, minerals carbohydrates, vitamins and calories. These components can easily be
found in: Green leafy vegetables
Citrus fruits
Milk, yoghurt and cheese
Nuts
Turmeric, ginger and garlic.
2. Exercise Daily.
Perform any physical activity regularly. Performing physical activities increases Our immune system.
Strengthens our bones, muscles and joints.
Reduces the risk of a heart attack.
Helps the brain and memory.
Lowers blood pressure and blood sugar level
Different physical activities that you can do during COVID:
Yoga
Sports
Walking
Running or Jogging
Dancing
3. Stay Hydrated.

Drink 8-10 glass of water every day.

COVID Vaccination

Vaccination is the best method to protect oneself from severe and infectious diseases. It strengthens our
immune system and build our body in such a way that it gets immune towards viruses.
We can get the COVID vaccine by following the given steps.
1. Registering at CO-WIN portal.
2. Getting vaccination details(date, time and place for beneficiary vaccination)
3. Taking your first dose.
4. Taking your second dose.
When you get vaccinated, you are protecting yourself and helping to protect the whole community.
